Title: Burrow and Bengals near a crossroads

Abstract: The Cincinnati Bengals may have a Joe Burrow problem. Or perhaps it's better said that Joe Burrow may have a Cincinnati Bengals problem. However you couch it, prepare for another unusual offseason for the highest-paid player in franchise history and the front office that secured his services with the No. 1 draft pick in 2020. Burrow's cryptic yet pointed comments after last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills - yet again invoking his football mortality, ruminating on all he has been through quarterbacking this team and venting some of his "frustration" - was followed up by a bizarrely insipid performance from the Bengals' offense in Sunday's 24-0 loss to Baltimore that was devoid of any of their quarterback's usual verve.
