| Abstract (English): |
This study aims to relieve the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) as a useful tool for the generation of Territorial Planning Tools in the Araucanía Region. Were identified and characterized the different levels of urban planning, as established by the General Law on Urban Planning and Construction, contrasting the entry of such System Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA), as defined in Law 19,300, the Basic Environment and subsequently amended by Law 20,417. For both procedures we developed a descriptive exploratory process, using primary sources, through the application of interviews with key actors, as secondary. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
