| Abstract (English): | This article analyzes the characteristics of an important publication belonging to the construction business community in Mar del Plata (Centro de Constructores y Anexos). We can learn from it about social representations and central aspects of the city's history throughout the 20th century. This journal has been used as a source of academic and non-academic work by local historians and architects who studied the different styles, genres and changes in urban activity. In spite of this, its history (advertising and consumption), its edition features (direction, objectives, release, radio broadcast) or a methodological analysis of this type of document seemed not relevant up to now. We therefore seek to contribute to a critical knowledge of the local history, analyzing the "backstage" and proposing a periodicity that allows ordering the documentation as from organizational and historical criteria. | Abstract (Spanish): | El presente artículo analiza las características que adquirió un importante formato de prensa perteneciente al empresariado de la construcción en Mar del Plata (Centro de Constructores y Anexos), que perduró a través de los años. A partir del mismo podemos observar representaciones sociales y aspectos centrales de la historia de la ciudad a lo largo de la mayor parte del siglo XX. Cabe destacar que, dicha publicación ha sido utilizada como fuente por excelencia en trabajos académicos y no académicos por historiadores locales y arquitectos que estudiaron los diferentes estilos, géneros y cambios en la actividad urbana. A pesar de ello, hasta ahora no se ha reparado en su historia (publicidad y consumo) o en sus rasgos de edición (dirección, objetivos, divulgación, radio de difusión) ni en un examen metodológico de este tipo de documento. Por eso, buscamos contribuir a un conocimiento crítico de la historia local analizando el "detrás de escena" y proponiendo una periodización que permita ordenar el material a partir de criterios organizativos e históricos.
