| Abstract (English): | The global context of environmental crisis has affected the practice of architecture. Thus, the adjective sustainable raises the question of what our buildings contribute to mitigate the problems caused to the environment. Where, commonly, the responses have been buildings that address the problem with a high technological dependency. They forget that architecture can assume them by manipulating form, matter and energy; from its aesthetic construction. Likewise, the article investigates, through the study of the Eldorado Tourism Hotel, the scope of this statement from two variables. The first looks at the material construction and the shadow devices that the building has. The second, in the aesthetic and atmospheric dimension that they generate in their spaces. Addressing these variables allowed us to identify an approach to the construction of an environmental aesthetic based on shadow. Resource that it adopts, in its architectural resolution, as a predominant element. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | El contexto global de crisis ambiental ha afectado al ejercicio de la arquitectura. Así, el adjetivo sostenible propone la interrogante de qué aportan nuestros edificios para mitigar los problemas ocasionados al ambiente. Donde, comúnmente, las respuestas han sido edificios que atienden al problema con una alta dependencia tecnológica. Ellos olvidan que la arquitectura puede asumirlos manipulando forma, materia y energía; desde su construcción estética. Asimismo, el artículo indaga, mediante el estudio del Hotel de Turismo de Eldorado, el alcance de esta afirmación desde dos variables. La primera pone la mirada sobre la construcción material y en los dispositivos de sombra que posee el edificio. La segunda, en la dimensión estética y atmosférica que estos generan en sus espacios. Abordar estas variables permitió' identificar una aproximación a la construcción de una estética medioambiental a partir de la sombra. Assim, o adjetivo sustentável levanta a questão de qual é a contribuição das nossas construções para mitigar os problemas causados ao meio ambiente. Onde, comummente, as respostas têm sido edifícios que abordam o problema com elevada dependência tecnológica. Esquecemse que a arquitetura pode assumi-los manipulando a forma, a matéria e a energia; desde a sua construção estética. Da mesma forma, o artigo investiga, por meio do estudo do Hotel Turismo Eldorado, o alcance dessa afirmação a partir de duas variáveis. A primeira analisa o material de construção e os dispositivos de sombra que o edifício possui. A segunda, na dimensão estética e atmosférica que geram nos seus espaços. A abordagem dessas variáveis permitiu identificar uma abordagem para a construção de uma estética ambiental baseada na sombra.
