Abstract: This study investigates the effectiveness of tangible and intangible devices as learning mediums in enhancing education for hearing-impaired students. Conducted at Rochiram Thadani High School for Hearing Handicapped in Chembur, the research evaluates the impact of handmade drawings and charts (tangible device) compared to an Android application named Empowering Learning Edventure (intangible device). The aim is to determine which medium better facilitates comprehension and retention of educational content among primary school students with hearing impairments. Initial findings suggest that the integration of both tangible and intangible tools can significantly enhance the learning experience, offering insights into optimal educational strategies for special needs education. This study underscores the potential of combining traditional and digital learning tools to support the education of hearing-impaired students, suggesting that a hybrid approach may be most effective in addressing diverse learning needs. Future research could explore the long-term impacts of these tools and their applicability to other special needs populations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
