Abstract: Cooperative communication is useful in case channels suffer from multipath fading or shadowing because it enables single antenna to obtain some benefit of MIMO systems. In this paper, we employ two cooperative transmission schemes, amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward, in multiuser SIMO OFDM systems, when the severe path-loss between source and destination exists and doesn't exist. And then, we offer the performance evaluation of both cases by simulation. From these results, we can achieve better performance by selection of cooperative transmission according to the channel environments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
