| Abstract: | The article provides ten most important factors to consider in the selection of scale platforms. The important factors in scale selection are its primary use, largest amount capacity, accuracy, materials of construction, environmental conditions, necessary scale's features, industry regulations, equipment installation, calibration and service, and equipment price. The selector should stay in the general mid-range of the unit's definite capacity to minimize damage to sensitive internal electronics. The large temperature variations can cause metals within the load cell of a scale to flex at various rates. The regular scheduled calibration of scale is needed to ensure consistently accurate readouts. |
