Abstract: The article discusses system design in the field of computer science, exploring the concept of resource orientation and the design of representations to support interactions. The data aspect of system design, the article states, has distinguished the physical, logical, and conceptual models. Other topics include metamodels that are accompanied by languages used for describing the models, the "one true model" data model which spans all modeling levels, and the Web as a expanding ecosystem of heterogeneous data and services.
