Abstract: The article discusses the adoption of cloud computing by Canadian companies. A Telus survey of information technology (IT) managers in Canada revealed the low adoption of cloud computing among larger firms with 71 percent of them not open to alternative IT delivery models. The National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) points out that its functionality changes based on the model used. Public cloud deployment models include Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
