| Abstract: | The article focuses on the efforts to increase student retention at University of Kentucky by due to bureaucracy of administrators. Topics discussed include raising graduation rates, often have little positive effect and are a major cause of administrative bloat in the U.S. colleges and universities; little increase in number of instructional faculty effecting the quality of undergraduate programs; and increasing the first to second-year retention rate. |
