Abstract (English): University education that uses English as the medium of instruction is one of the current educational innovations in Higher Education. The main aim of this study was to examine the experiences of 171 students of the English-taught Degrees in Education at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos six years after their implementation. Results indicate that studying an English-taught degree improves students' self-esteem within the university context. Specifically, students have developed positive attitudes and have improved their language skills during their studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): La formación universitaria a través de una lengua vehicular como el inglés es una de las actuales innovaciones presentes en la etapa de Educación Superior. El principal objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las experiencias de 171 estudiantes de los Grados de Educación en habla inglesa de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos seis años después de su implantación. Los resultados han mostrado que estudiar un grado en habla inglesa influye en la mejora de la autoestima dentro del contexto universitario. En concreto, se han observado actitudes positivas del alumnado y una mejora de sus capacidades lingüísticas durante sus estudios. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
