Abstract: The article examines the plight of authors of color in the U.S. education sector, particularly in the secondary English language arts (ELA) curriculum. Also cited are a study which examined the share of said authors in the authorship of full-length ELA Guidebooks 2.0 (GB2) curriculum, and some minority authors like Lorraine Hansberry and Richard Wright.
