| Abstract: | Teachers might also use computer-based learning technologies, providing them with opportunities to observe and emulate self-regulated learning implementation within the classroom. Drawing on their vast experience blending technology with self-regulation, the authors highlight the affordances of integrating computer-based learning environments and self-regulated learning processes to assist learners entering postsecondary education settings. Integrating computer-based learning environments and self-regulated learning processes can create powerful situations to support higher education student learning and reduce dropout rates for first-year students, a source of much concern for higher education institutions.
