| Abstract: | Oregon's education finance system reflects ongoing efforts to balance equity and excellence. For FY 2024, $6.75 billion is allocated to education, with $5.35 billion for P-12 and $1.4 billion for higher education. P-12 per-pupil expenditure is $9,865. While state funding has increased, challenges like underfunding, workforce shortages, and declining enrollment persist.
