| Abstract: | Amid partisan disagreement over the creation of a $100 million private school voucher program, Pennsylvania lawmakers did not pass a Commonwealth Budget by the start of the 2023–24 fiscal year. A $45.5 billion state budget was eventually signed by Governor Josh Shapiro in early August.
