| Abstract (English): | The article presents a dossier on policies and processes for professional development of teachers in Higher Education, organized by researchers from Brazilian institutions and other countries in Latin America. The central focus is the analysis of initial and ongoing teacher training practices, highlighting the importance of professional development in an educational context that involves teaching, research, and outreach. The dossier includes eight articles that address topics such as the training of novice teachers, professional socialization, and policies for supporting new educators, as well as an interview with a researcher from the National Autonomous University of Honduras.
