Abstract (English): Numerous studies on students’ leisure reading habits indicate a lack of significant interest in this activity. Since reading is not an inherent skill for humans and must be learnt, any stagnation in this area can lead to regression. Therefore, it should not be neglected, especially among students as future academics. This is particularly important for reading literary texts due to their unique language, aesthetic qualities, and the various benefits they provide for intellectual and spiritual development. The main goal of this paper is to highlight the importance of encouraging students to read literary texts, the contributions that academic libraries can make in this regard, and the importance of presenting examples of best practices.
