Abstract: An introduction to articles in the issue is presented on topics including demographic characteristics and self-reported communication and cognitive challenges of uninsured and underinsured individuals with brain or spinal cord injuries, barriers and advocacy needs around cognitive-communication intervention for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI), and narrative discourse intervention during posttraumatic amnesia in individuals with TBI.
