Abstract: The article focuses on the development and application of a belief-based visioning tool designed to enhance collaboration between educators and architects in the co-creation of new learning environments. Through a case study of the Oakwood Middle School project, the research highlights the challenges and opportunities that arise when educators and designers work together, emphasizing the importance of shared understanding and communication. The findings indicate that the visioning tool not only facilitates meaningful dialogue about educational experiences but also helps to align the design process with the beliefs and needs of educators. Additionally, the study suggests that the insights gained from this tool can be applied broadly across educational settings to foster a more cohesive and purposeful approach to school design and community engagement.
