| Abstract (English): | This study focuses on analyzing and correlating the strategic variables that impact educational quality in the virtual academic programs of a Higher Education Institution, considering both the academic, organizational, technological, student support and professional dimensions, as well as macro variables related to educational policies, technological accessibility, institutional culture, human resources, and financing. Through the categorization of educational quality in these dimensions and macro variables, the relevant factors were selected and classified, which allowed the creation of a matrix of cross-impacts and the subsequent identification of strategic factors. Using a prospective structural analysis approach, nine critical elements were identified which, due to their strong influence on educational dynamics and their notable independence, are located in a conflict zone. The results revealed specific areas in need of urgent attention, such as improving technological infrastructure, updating teaching methods and expanding academic support for students. It is important to emphasize that in order to maintain stable enrollment and raise quality standards in virtual degree programs, it is crucial to adopt the strategies designed, which encompass both the improvement of technological infrastructure and the strengthening of pedagogical and administrative support. | Abstract (Spanish): | Este estudio se centró en analizar y correlacionar las variables estratégicas que impactan la calidad educativa en los programas académicos virtuales de una institución de educación superior, considerando tanto las dimensiones académica, organizacional, tecnológica, de apoyo estudiantil y profesional, como las variables macro relacionadas con políticas educativas, accesibilidad tecnológica, cultura institucional, recursos humanos y financiamiento. A través de la categorización de la calidad educativa en estas dimensiones y variables macro, se seleccionaron y clasificaron los factores relevantes, permitiendo la creación de una matriz de impactos cruzados y la posterior identificación de factores estratégicos. Utilizando un enfoque de análisis estructural prospectivo se identificaron nueve elementos críticos que, debido a su fuerte influencia en la dinámica educativa y su notable independencia, están ubicadas en una zona de conflicto. Los resultados revelaron áreas específicas que necesitan atención urgente, como la mejora de la infraestructura tecnológica, la actualización de los métodos de enseñanza y la expansión del soporte académico para los estudiantes. Es importante destacar que para mantener una matrícula estable y elevar los estándares de calidad en las carreras virtuales, es crucial adoptar estrategias diseñadas que abarquen tanto la mejora de la infraestructura tecnológica como el fortalecimiento del soporte pedagógico y administrativo.
