| Abstract: | The article focuses on the benefits of an after-school tutoring program that incorporates embedded field experiences for preservice teachers and their impact on participating families. The study collected feedback from families of K–5 students who participated in the program, revealing that all respondents were satisfied with the tutoring, with many noting improvements in their children's literacy skills and enjoyment of reading. Families appreciated the weekly email updates that provided literacy strategies to support learning at home and expressed a strong likelihood of re-enrolling their children in the program. The findings suggest that such tutoring programs not only enhance the educational experience for students but also foster family engagement and communication with schools.
