| Abstract (English): | The thematic section of issue 109 of the Mexican Journal of Educational Research focuses on the relationship between higher education and the labor market in Mexico, addressing challenges, inequalities, and social mobility. Based on the seminar “Trajectories of Bachelor’s Degree Graduates,” organized by the ESIM project (Training and Labor Trajectories in the Megalopolis of the Valley of Mexico), the publication brings together eight articles that analyze, from various methodologies, the conditions of labor market insertion, educational and labor segmentation, and social inequalities affecting university graduates. Factors such as social origin, the training institution, territorial context, and public policies are highlighted as influencing professional trajectories and opportunities for social mobility. Additionally, specific cases of fields such as nursing and veterinary medicine are examined, as well as student work and intergenerational social mobility, providing a comprehensive overview to understand the complexity of the transition from higher education to employment in Mexico.
