| Abstract: | The California FY2025 education budget reflects a slowing revenue environment but continues strong commitments to K–12 and higher education. Funding levels for K-12 schools and community colleges under Proposition 98 remain substantial and continue to exceed prior baseline guarantees. Compared to the previous fiscal year, overall funding has increased. Despite fiscal headwinds, the budget maintains per-pupil funding near record highs, sustains teacher workforce initiatives, and protects higher education affordability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
