Abstract: The Nevada P–12 system includes 17 county school districts and the State Public Charter School Authority, serving 477,563 students across 750 campuses. During the 2025–2027 biennium, lawmakers maintained the Pupil-Centered Funding Plan, with county cost adjustments and weights for English learners, students identified as at risk, and gifted and talented students. The biennial budget allocated $13.857 billion to P–12 and $2.856 billion to higher education. Within P–12, targeted investments include $517 million for special education and $17 million for charter school transportation. Workforce actions include launching the Senate Bill (SB) 460 Commission on Recruitment and Retention and concluding the SB 231 compensation program that provided $250 million for salary increases through fiscal year 2025.
