| Abstract (English): | This article presents a qualitative case study that analyzes the effects of a literary writing task on the interpretation of Ray Bradbury's short story "The Rocket" by students in the third year of compulsory secondary education. The research is part of a Guided Reading Proposal (GRP) and focuses on a specific task: the production of a confession, adopting the voice of a character from the story. The main objective was to determine whether students are able to incorporate and represent the symbolic value of the rocket in their written texts by integrating narrative elements from the story in a coherent and meaningful way. Based on the specific conditions of the writing task, designed with the purpose of encouraging the interpretation of the story, it was observed that students were able to formulate personal interpretations based on the narrative elements of the story. The results show that literary writing, as an interpretive tool, can become an appropriate teaching tool for addressing reticent texts. Likewise, the study confirms that certain conditions are essential for writing to promote more complex interpretations that are consistent with the meaning of the original text.
