| Abstract: | The article discusses the research regarding delinquency and violence among girls as a complex public health problem in the U.S. A statistical overview is provided based on national data, characteristics of female offenders, risk factors for girls delinquency, and promising approach for intervention. Several reviewed findings are presented regarding gender-specific risk factors and the class of successful girl-serving programs. |
