| Abstract: | The article reports on the medical inspection of school children in New York and the activities of New York Association of Sewing Schools. One hundred fifty medical school inspectors visited the children in various schools in the city to determine if they show symptoms of contagious diseases. On the other hand, the Association disseminated new theories and methods of teaching sewing in schools through exhibitions, teachers' classes and lectures. |
