| Abstract: |
The article looks at how fund-raisers can find various projects in their local library that could be the focus of fund-raising events. It looks at the prospect of English as a Second Language (ESL) programs hosted at libraries and various aspects of ESL education that could need improvement as one such focus. It also looks at computers at local libraries and how new computers are another focus. It mentions that prominent philanthropists such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have spread awareness of the need for computer accessibility. It states that fund-raising should be supplemental to funding rather than a means to balance an operating budget. |
