Abstract: The article presents a discussion of archive resources and examines how the growth of digital archives has changed historical research. It argues that digital resources and the Internet do not take the place of physical archives and that researchers should not succumb to the laziness of only utilizing digital resources. It examines problems related to digitization and the publishing material on the Internet and offers an evaluation of Internet resources. It compares digitization efforts among different countries and discusses the need for the efficient management of digital resources.
