Abstract: The article presents research aims at documenting high rates and clinical correlates of nonauditory hallucinations in childhood onset schizophrenia (COS). It examines the presence of auditory, visual, somatic/tactile, and olfactory hallucinations within 117 pediatric patients diagnosed with COS using the Scale for the Assessment of Positive Symptoms (SAPS). The research reveals an increased rate of visual hallucinations which is associated with clinical impairment in overall brain functioning.
