Abstract: An interview with Barbara Kerley, author of "The Dinosaurs of Waterhouse Hawkins," is presented. She discusses the challenges of narrative nonfiction where it needs to focus to the plot structure, character development and theme. She tells what charmed her to Waterhouse Hawkins, her first work of non-fiction and learned a lot during the writing process. She also cites the successes and failures of children's nonfiction and hopes that parents would provide reading opportunities for kids.
