Abstract: The article discusses several possibilities to establish a unified perspective on teacher education assessments suitable to early childhood teacher preparation. To rersolve the challenge of evaluating teachers, education policy makers have created suitable assessments of their students. Some of the possibilities cited are creating high stakes performance assessments as a requirement for teacher licensure, tracking those who completed the program and surveying employers after program completion.
