Abstract: The article discusses the article "Young, Gifted, and Neglected," written by Chester Finn for "The New York Times," which laid out the argument for additional support of high-potential students in the U.S. Finn pointed out three systematic failures made in U.S. schools, namely, identification of young gifted children, insufficient classrooms with trained teachers and appropriate curricula, and budget cuts.
