Abstract (English): The notion of field is one of the main concepts in modern physical science, justifying the importance of proper teaching science students at any educational level. This article proposes a teaching model that tries to instill the concept of physical field, with its scope and limitations, based on the classic mechanics of the particle through an analogy with the elastic solid and mechanical waves to reach to typical instance of the electromagnetic field. Abstract (Spanish): La noción de campo es uno de los principales conceptos en la moderna ciencia física, lo que justifica la importancia de su correcta enseñanza a los estudiantes de ciencias en cualquier nivel educativo. En este artículo se propone un modelo didáctico que trata de inculcar el concepto de campo físico, con su alcance y limitaciones, partiendo de la mecánica clásica del punto material a través de una analogía con el sólido elástico y las ondas mecánicas para llegar al ejemplo típico del campo electromagnético.
