Abstract: BioEnergy Research is celebrating its 15th anniversary as a journal dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions for global energy needs. The journal has been a prominent platform for scientists, engineers, policymakers, and industry professionals to exchange research and insights in the field of bioenergy. Despite the unpredictable nature of the journey towards a sustainable bioenergy future, the journal remains committed to pushing boundaries, embracing emerging technologies, and addressing critical research gaps. The journal has published 1605 articles to date and has received contributions from 3751 reviewers. The most cited and downloaded article is "Second Generation Biofuels: High-Efficiency Microalgae for Biodiesel Production," published in 2008. The journal acknowledges the contributions of past Editors-in-Chief and expresses gratitude to the team at Springer and the researchers, authors, reviewers, and readers who have contributed to its success.
