| Abstract: | For the southern part of the Siberian Craton, the geological and geochronological characteristics of the reference sections of six Lower Precambrian stratoregions are presented. These sections were correlated for the first time, which served as a basis for a refined regional stratigraphic scheme. As a result, three major regional subdivisions (from bottom to top, Sahabori, Udokan, and Ulkan) were separated in the rank of suprahorizons in the regional stratigraphic scheme, as in the scheme accepted by Interdepartmental Stratigraphic Committee in 1991, in terms of their composition and age. For the first time, two regional horizons within the Udokan suprahorizon were proposed with the operating names Kodar–Chinei (lower) and Kemen (upper). These regional subdivisions are separated by unconformities and stratigraphic gaps. It can be assumed that the lower boundary age of the Kemen horizon is around 2.05 Ga; the lower boundaries of the Udokan and Ulkan suprahorizons date back to around 1.9 Ga. It is likely that these suprahorizons were separated by a long stratigraphic hiatus. The stratigraphic boundaries between the Sahabori suprahorizon and the lower Udokan suprahorizon have not been determined. According to the isotopic age data, the regional subdivisions are correlated with those in the General Stratigraphic Scale of the Lower Precambrian of Russia. The Sahabori suprahorizon undoubtedly belongs to the Upper Archean (Lopian) Eonothem, while the Udokan and Ulkan suprahorizons belong to the Lower Proterozoic (Karelian) Eonothem. The undivided Lower and Upper Karelian erathems include the rocks of the Kodar–Chinei horizon. The deposits of the Kemen horizon and Ulkan suprahorizon belong to the Upper Karelian Erathem.
