| Abstract: | In this article, the author discusses the comments by Professor, Hubert Chanson on the paper "Propagation of surge waves in channels with large-scale bank roughness" which appeared in the 2013 issue of the periodical. It mentions the impact of large-scale bank roughness, on the propagation speed and the height of the surge wave front. It highlights the local transitions in the contour of channel which could result from substructures of bridges, and piers. |
