| Abstract: | This guide, one of a series in the Quinmester Program, is intended to aid teachers in grades ten through twelve as they teach students to explore the total effects of industrialization. The elective course encompasses the growth and expansion of American technology, taking into account the role of the government and labor, and the benefits and disadvantages of rapid growth and the resulting change on the quality of life in America. Emphasis is upon students describing the resources needed for and identifying the influence of big business upon industrialization, recognizing problems of the growth of industry, and proposing reforms to correct problems of industrialization today.
