| Abstract: | In addition to the presidential address and the general session address ("Does Sport and Physical Activity Have a Future in Education?"), the proceedings contain speeches on the following topics: (1) international relations, (2) intercollegiate athletics, (3) the history of sport, (4) teacher education, (5) basic instruction, (6) intramural athletics, and (7) research. Some of the material presented in the research section are papers on the student as sport consumer, physique and performance, and the cognitive domain and the teaching of physical education. The president's report, financial reports, minutes from the last meeting, and reports from the standing committees, the president's committees, and joint committees are then presented. The NCPEAM constitution and by-laws and NCPEAM policies are included in these proceedings as well as lists of NCPEAM members, officers, and committee members. (PB) |
