| Abstract: | "Speak Out for Children" is the quarterly newsletter of the Children's Rights Council, Inc. (CRC), a children's rights and family preservation advocacy group. The feature articles for these four issues track the progress of the access/visitation grants included in the welfare reform legislation; the grants are to help establish and administer programs to support and facilitate non-custodial parents' access to and visitation of their children. Also discussed in the four newsletters are legal issues and court cases involving custody and child support payments, and summaries of research on legal and social welfare issues of non-custodial fathers, approaches to divorce, and the effect of legislation on divorce rates and child custody payments. Regular sections in the newsletter cover news of CRC lobbying efforts, congressional involvement in the organization, and CRC chapter news. (JPB) |
