| Abstract: | This research implements and evaluates the effectiveness of targeted social emotional learning instruction on pre-service teachers' emotional resilience and perceived self-efficacy. These scaffolds provided pre-service teachers the opportunity to reflect on their teaching during practicum using resiliency tools in a discussion-based seminar. The research question was designed to increase perceived pre-service teacher self-efficacy by focusing on resilience strategies as part of the importance of social emotional learning for educators. The results will impact how teachers are trained in the current educational climate and in the future. If pre-service teachers can cultivate resiliency, then teachers can not only have long successful careers in the ever-changing educational landscape, but also work to challenge the status quo of the classroom through entrepreneurial and transformative education teaching.
