| Abstract: | This study compared graduation rates between traditional high school students and high school students enrolled in Career and Technology Education courses in South Carolina. The research questions were based on the students' graduation rates as related to gender, race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The data was retrieved from the South Carolina State Department of Education's School Report Card Database. The data contained information from selected high schools, career centers and comprehensive high schools in South Carolina. The researcher conducted an analysis of comparison of the graduation rates of traditional and CTE students according to their gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status (SES). The results revealed that the graduation rate was higher among students enrolled in CTE courses than students enrolled in traditional high school courses.
