| Abstract: | The study focused on analyzing the knowledge and application of cryptocurrencies in undergraduate programs across public and private universities in Honduras. Given the increasing relevance of cryptocurrencies in the global financial landscape. The primary objective was to assess the level of knowledge and application of cryptocurrencies among students in administrative programs, distinguishing between universities and specific courses. The research followed a documentary and field methodology with a mixed approach. Surveys and semi-structured questionnaires targeted students, faculty, and departmental authorities. The questionnaires covered demographic aspects, levels of knowledge, information sources, work experience, real investments, and participation in practical laboratories. The results unveiled a detailed overview of cryptocurrency knowledge and application in the university setting, identifying significant differences between universities and courses, and offering a contextualized understanding. Furthermore, the experiences and perceptions of faculty and departmental authorities regarding integrating cryptocurrencies into education were analyzed. It was concluded that over 50% of the student population in administrative careers was familiar with and utilized cryptocurrencies. Recommendations included the imperative need to integrate cryptocurrency content into academic programs and provide continuous training for faculty and administrative staff.
