Abstract: Since April 2022, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) have partnered to collect advancement data for the independent school community using the NAIS online tool Data and Analysis for School Leadership (DASL). Used by more than 40 state, regional, and national independent school associations, DASL is a powerful one-stop shop for independent school data collection. School leaders can use this tool to find actionable data on all aspects of school operations, including enrollment, salaries, and more. The purpose of this report is to help those in leadership understand the wider world of philanthropy in schools in the United States.
