Abstract: This study explores the interconnected roles of intrinsic motivation and learning autonomy in shaping self-learners into effective leaders. Drawing on insights from peer-reviewed research obtained from reputable online databases such as Taylor & Francis and ScienceDirect, the paper synthesizes theoretical and empirical findings grounded in self-determination theory and autonomous learning frameworks. The analysis reveals that individuals driven by intrinsic motivation demonstrate greater persistence, self-regulation, and adaptability-qualities that promote both independent learning and leadership capacity. Furthermore, autonomy-supportive environments are shown to enhance learners' sense of competence and purpose, fostering the development of self-directed behaviors that translate into leadership growth. By examining these interrelated constructs, this study underscores the significance of intrinsic motivation and learning autonomy as foundational mechanisms in the evolution of self-learners into autonomous, influential leaders.
