Abstract: In summer 2025, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Research Department surveyed leadership from state and regional financial aid associations to better understand financial practices, revenue generation, governance, and strategic planning. All six regional associations (100%) and 41 of 50 state associations (82%) responded. Based on the survey's structure, findings reported in this report are grouped into five thematic areas. To respect the structural and operational differences between state and regional associations, findings are reported separately without direct comparison.
