Abstract: This technical report describes a pilot evaluation of the Tier 2 Student Safety System anchored by "Beyond the Trigger" (gun violence intervention) and a structured "Anger Management" curriculum. The goal was to examine changes in key protective factors for students requiring targeted Tier 2 behavioral support. The evaluation involved four cohorts of middle and high school students (N = 80; ages 11-17) across two community-based sites. Findings indicate that average correct knowledge scores increased from 44% to 89%, emotional regulation ratings improved by approximately 68%, and endorsement of nonviolent responses in high-risk scenarios rose from 45% to 86%. Preliminary disciplinary data indicates a 30% reduction in recidivism following this Tier 2 intervention. [This report was created by Gifted & Lit Foundation and Diversion Center.]
