Abstract: In order for career pathways to remain relevant to learners and meet the rapidly evolving needs of industry and workforce demands, they must include cross-sector collaboration, seamless advancement and progression, credential attainment, experiential work-based learning (EWBL), and they need to be responsive and flexible. "Emerging Sectors, Responsive Career Pathways: Bridging Education and Industry" shares promising practices, strategies, and actions coming out of the "New Skills ready network" (NSrn) initiative to create flexible career pathways that meet the needs of learners and industry. Explore how NSrn sites and states like Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, and North Dakota use innovative approaches to expand access to in-demand skills and credentials for learners while ensuring that career pathways are flexible enough to adapt to current and future workforce trends and demands. To support the expansion and acceleration of high-quality and accessible career pathways, JPMorgan Chase launched the "New Skills ready network", a national initiative of six sites, each composed of state, regional and local partners. The initiative draws on cross-sector partnerships to facilitate system work, including designing, implementing and scaling real-world work experiences to ensure that learners of all levels can access the most beneficial opportunities to actualize their career goals.
