| Abstract: | This report provides an overview of noncredit Career Development and College Preparation (CDCP) course offerings and funding trends across California state's community college districts. The report analyzes enrollment data, funding adjustments, and legislative impacts on noncredit programs, with a particular focus on the fluctuations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings indicate a significant decline in noncredit full-time equivalent students (FTES) in 2020-21, followed by strong recovery and sustained growth through 2023-24. Projections suggest continued enrollment increases, reinforcing the vital role of noncredit CDCP courses in workforce development and higher education pathways. |
