Abstract: With the cybersecurity workforce facing a critical shortage, Alabama is positioned as a strong pilot site given its defense, aerospace, and digital industries. This white paper highlights the Alabama Cybersecurity Pathways Initiative, which connects K-12, higher education, industry, and community partners to build sustainable talent pipelines. Originating in Talladega County and expanding into the East Alabama Regional Cybersecurity Alliance, the initiative offers a scalable, replicable blueprint to address workforce gaps and strengthen regional economic resilience.
